Michael,

Thank you for your comment. It is important to do things to keep yourself in good general health. However, the nature of viruses is such that the body needs help clearing them. This is especially true of this novel H1N1 flu. The immune systems of most of us do not have the "knowledge" from previous exposures to know how to fight it off. That is where the vaccine can help.;

Think of your body as a school student, that learns well from experience, and is very smart. But no matter how smart it is, it can't know everything. Think of the vaccine as a kind of "tutor" that helps your body bone up for the possible pop-quiz of exposure to H1N1!

In the meantime, wash your hands with soap and warm water, while you sing Happy Birthday, twice. Stay at home if sick. And cover coughs and sneezes with your arm!

I for one will be using high doses of vitamin c to protect myself from swine flu.
